My 2nd Favorite F Word...Fiber

In my practice, I talk a lot about fiber because it does so many great things for our bodies. Most people considering a plant-based diet worry about getting enough protein, however, there is plenty in plant-based foods!  What we should really be worrying about is the excess protein (which is hard on the body) and the deficiency of fiber in the traditional, American diet.

List of High Fiber Foods 

1)  Bring this list with you to the grocery store then tape it to your fridge as a reference.

2)  Start slow... especially if your current diet is low in fiber, aim for 10 grams daily to start.

3)  Increase by a few grams per week until you reach the 30-gram/day goal.

4)  Feel amazing!
